One of the most common subjects I receive questions concerning is virginity. Young men and women often want to know what to do and what to expect when they have intercourse (i.e. vaginal-penile) for the first time. Given the social significance of this event in a person’s life, it is surprising how little factual information is available on the subject. What information is available is often incorrect and harmful to young adults.
